Service and Maintenance for EV Charging Points
Whether you are a business owner, a council or other public sector organisation you’ll want to know that your electric vehicle chargers are working correctly.
We offer two levels of annual EV charger maintenance agreements,
non-invasive tests and invasive tests:
Non-invasive Maintenance Tests
The non-invasive test is an inspection of the EV charger’s external components. This includes:
- Visual Inspections of Charger Body (e.g. labelling, visible damage, cover fit.)
- Visual Inspections of Socket (e.g. cover, connections, signs of corrosion.)
- Functional Test (Fit of the plug, 16A & 32A testing, fault finding)
- Testing of the LED colour ring
- Earth Resistance Verification Test
- RCD Test
Please note this plan does not include an internal inspection. The average non-invasive test takes 30 minutes to complete per single or dual headed charger.
Costs are for chargers in one location.

Invasive Maintenance Tests
The invasive test is an inspection of both external and internal EV charger components. This includes:
- Non-invasive test (See above)
- Internal Visual Inspection (Discolouration, loose connections, arching, water and dust collection, general condition)
- Meter readings
- Testing of the AC input terminal
- Inspection of the Pole Earthing Point to verify tightness of earth point
- Inspection of the Lock Motor to verify free movement of the motor and ensure indicator flag not obstructed.
The average invasive test takes 60 minutes to complete per single or dual headed charger.
